daylight savings for the Vitamin D deficient
Oh, dear, precious, wonderful Light.
Far too long
hast Thou hid Thyself from me.
Day by day,
without mercy or care,
Thou concealed Thyself
behind the expansive gray
and let the black of night cover Thee
long before the leavened dough had risen
for the evening meal.
But now,
Oh dear, sweet now.
Thou hast won.
Thou hast cast away the death of winter
and revealed Thyself
in all Thy delicious, sustaining glory.
Though the winds may continue to blow,
the clouds haze,
and the rains fall,
it matters not.
For Thy glory is nigh
and Thy face ever near
to guide me through each day
with hope instead of fear.
Oh, Light,
how I love Thee.
Amen.
