a fall morning

We are celebrating Jethro's first birthday later this week, and we kicked off the celebration with a simple morning at a new (to us) park. Fall colors are bursting around us, and we've been lucky to have lots of sun to illuminate it all. I'm hoping to have even more time to lie in the sun and roll in the leaves with the Littles later this week. We got a good taste of it all today.

 Of course, we collected some fall treasures and brought them home for inspiration. If all goes according to plan (which it rarely does), we'll do a lot more fall collecting, identifying, and making this week. Fingers crossed.

For now, this was a simple, sweet start. And I'm beyond ready to have a week of celebrating my little Bubba boy. One! More on that soon.
